Fit Body Wrap
The Fit Infrared Body Wrap System can help you lose weight and inches, break down fat, reduce cellulite, and make your skin appear younger — all while you read a book, watch a movie, or relax! You will start to see results after just one hour, and because the effects are cumulative, you may experience dramatic change. Are you ready to get FIT?
The FIT Body wrap uses a dual action process to get rid of excess fat in your body. Before starting your FIT Body wrap, you apply FIT Booster - a special proprietary mineral spray designed to increase the effects of the body wrap. FIT Booster actually makes your body work harder to produce sweat. The far infrared heat of the bodywrap then causes stored fat to break down and be converted into fatty acids. As your body heats up, you begin to sweat to cool down. The sweat is fueled by the energy from the converted fatty acids. A single FIT Body wrap session burns thousands of calories this way.
Science of Weight Loss and Calorie Chart
When we accumulate body fat, blood circulation becomes worse. As we accumulate more body fat, our circulation decreases even more. Because of a lack of blood circulation, we cannot metabolize or burn body fat. In addition, very little heat is being circulated to that part of your body. This is what we call "cold spots." When we take away the heat from that area of your body and it cools, the fat then turns from subcutaneous fat into cellulite. Subcutaneous fat is very soft and easy to lose. Cellulite is almost like hard muscle that is hardened from lack of blood circulation.
The purpose of the body wrap is to apply heat to the body in order to get underneath the fat tissue and thin the blood to allow it to get into the areas where fat tissue exists. Bringing the blood back into the areas that have had restricted blood flow causes the metabolism rates to rise. The heat softens the fat tissue causing it to break up and be released into the blood stream in the form of calories to be burned up as energy. When we have an excess of calories, the body stores them as fat. The Fit wrap reverses this process by breaking the fat down into calories and placing them back into the blood stream to be used as energy.
The Fit Body Wrap is able to aid in the breakdown of fat tissue with the use of Far infrared (FIR) energy. FIR energy is a part of the natural light spectrum of sunlight, minus the skin damaging UV rays. It falls within the same family of Infrared Rays in the light spectrum, but it has longer wavelengths, just like Ultraviolet Rays, and cannot be seen by human eyes. FIR energy is beneficial to everyone. Your body can absorb FIR because of its deep penetrating ability. When FIR penetrates skin, it transforms from light energy into heat energy. The thermal effect within the deep layers of tissues causes blood vessels in capillaries to dilate, promoting better blood circulation, and the heat produced helps to rid your body of toxins and metabolic wastes by causing you to sweat.
FIR heat also stimulates the dilation of peripheral blood vessels, bringing oxygen to joints and extremities, relaxing stiff muscles, and even speeding the healing of sprains and strains. The increased blood flow and metabolic rate allow toxic waste to be purged in the form of sweat, allowing for faster recovery of aching and injured muscles. In Chinese medicine, your skin is sometimes referred to as a third kidney because it is believed to be responsible for eliminating up to 30% of your body's waste.
What is a Calorie?
A calorie is a measure of energy expenditure. The calories referred to in diet and exercise, are kilocalories (kcal), 1000 of the calories referred to in science labs for measuring chemical reactions. A pound of fat stores 3500 calories (kcal). To lose half a kilo of fat a week a person must eat approximately 500 fewer calories (kcal) per day than he/she expends. The range of daily calorie burning is from 1600 for a sedentary woman or older people, to 2800 for active men, very active women and teenage boys.
You can burn up to 900 to 1400 calories or more in just one 50 minute session. Your body will burn off those calories through the day. The best of all is that the inch loss from infrared is permanent.
Caloric Burning Equivalents Per 50-Minute Session

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How long does each customer session take?
A: The customer will have 10 minutes to prepare themselves for the Fit in the privacy of their own room. The infrared session is 60 minutes long.
Q: What parts of the body can be targeted?
A: The Fit is a full body wrap, similar to lying in a sleeping bag. The shape allows for full coverage and the avoidance of any cold spots. During the session you can personally adjust the level of heat within 4 different zones. The 4 zones are arms, abdomen, upper legs, and lower legs.
Q: What are the body reshaping opportunities using Infrared Body Wraps?
A: The answer greatly depends on the physiological make-up of each individual. Generally, the greater the excess weight being carried, the faster and more dramatic the reshaping results will be. Some people will not experience significant weight loss at all but will see improved body shape, and a loss of inches or dress sizes. Extremely physically fit people that don't carry excess weight or inches can experience much improved muscle tone. Obviously, the more physically active a person is, the greater the benefits that can be achieved through Infrared Body Wraps. Common sense dictates that if a client is on a wrap program and then eats or drinks excessively most of the results will be negated. Infrared Body Wraps will be of most value when used practiced in conjunction with a balanced exercise and eating program. Clients that lead a very sedentary lifestyle can still achieve great results over a longer period assuming that they exercise adequate control over dietary and other general health factors. Experience worldwide indicates the rule of thumb is one clothes size reduction in 6 to 10 sessions with 2 to 3 days between each session. However, as previously indicated, results depend on each persons particular make up and physiology.
Q: Will changing dietary and health habits improve results from the Infrared Body Wrap sessions?
A: Of course any diet and lifestyle improvement will be of benefit whether or not people decide to undertake an Infrared program. However, if a client has made the commitment to the Infrared program more value will be derived from that commitment if other lifestyle improvements are also undertaken.
Q: What Is Infrared?
A: Infrared is the band of light we perceive as heat. We cannot see this band of light with the naked eye, but we can feel this type of light in the form of heat. Our sun produces most of its energy output in the infrared segment of the spectrum. Infrared rays heat your body without having to heat the air in-between, through a process called conversion.
The infrared is divided into 3 segments by wavelengths, measured in microns; 0.76~1.5 microns-near;1.5~5.6 microns-middle;5.6~1000 microns-far infrared. Among these segments, only far infrared penetrates organic substances such as the human body two to three inches so that the warming effect is very uniform.
Q: How & Why Do Infrared Body Wraps Work?
A: Far infrared energy (FIR) is a part of the natural light spectrum minus the UV element. The FIT Infrared Body Wraps are designed to output energy in the 5.6 to 25 micron FIR band also peaking around the 9.4 micron level to achieve maximum effectiveness. When FIR energy penetrates through the skin it transforms from light energy to heat energy and elevates the temperature of the subcutaneous layers. The body's absorption of this energy simulates a workout, burning up to 900 to 1400 calories in a 60 minute session providing body shaping and detoxification.
Q: Should I drink water before or after a session?
A: It is essential to drink water before, during and after a session; allowing the body to stay hydrated and replace body fluids that have been sweated out during the session. Drinking a lot of water will help eliminate the toxins in your system that the body wraps target.
Q: How often can clients repeat Infrared Body Wrap sessions?
A: This will depend on a person's lifestyle. If a person is very physically active undertaking significant walking, jogging, working out, or competitive sports, then Infrared Body Wrap sessions can be done as often as every 2 days. For best results, use the Infrared Body Wrap right before a workout as this will help burn the most dramatic amount of calories and also has maximum impact on body definition. With relatively physically inactive people, a minimum of 3 days between sessions is recommended. More regular sessions are unnecessary and may actually be detrimental to results. Upon reaching the intended body shape, it is possible to revert to maintenance only schedule, which for most people, should be around 2 to 4 times a month.
Q: Can clients use multiple infrared treatments, such as FIT and a tanning session, on the same day?
A: Both FIT Infrared Body Wraps and tanning beds give off infrared heat; therefore it is possible to receive a burn or heat rash if both sessions are undertaken on the same day. It is not recommended, especially if the client is fair skinned and prone to burning. Tanning the previous or next day should be perfectly fine.
Q: Who can use the Infrared Body Wraps?
A: The infrared energy in a FIT Body wrap is not only safe, but also highly beneficial for your body. As with anything, you should always consult with your own doctor if you have any questions on whether a FIT Body wrap is appropriate for you. And some people should not use FIT Body wraps. Reading the following safety precautions is the first step towards determining if the Fit is right for you.
Prescription Drugs: If you are using prescription drugs, check with your physician or pharmacist for possible changes in the drug's effect due to an interaction with infrared energy.
Certain Ailments: It may be inadvisable to raise your core temperature if you have adrenal suppression, systemic lupus erythematosus, or multiple sclerosis. We strongly advise you to consult with your own doctor if you have any of these conditions.
Joint Problems: If you've had a recent (acute) joint injury, you should not heat that area for the first 48 hours after the injury, or until the hot and swollen symptoms subside. Joints that are chronically hot and swollen may respond poorly to a FIT Bodywrap.
Pregnancy: If you're pregnant, or if you think you might be, we do not recommended a FIT Bodywrap.
Medical Implants: Metal pins, rods, artificial joints, or any other surgical implants generally reflect infrared rays and are not heated by infrared heat systems. Nevertheless, you should consult your doctor before you come in for a FIT Bodywrap. If you experiences pain near any implant after a FIT Bodywrap, you should not have another one.
Silicone: Silicone does absorb infrared energy. Implanted silicone may be warmed by infrared rays. Since silicone melts at over 200 degrees Celsius, it should not be adversely effected by a FIT Bodywrap. However, we advise you to check with your own doctor to be certain.
Menstruation: Heating of the lower back area for women during their menstrual period may temporarily increase menstrual flow. Once a woman is aware that this is occurring, she can choose to allow herself to experience this short term effect without worry. Or you may simply want to avoid FIT Bodywraps at that time in your cycle. Many women report that the heat reduces menstrual cramping.
Hemorrhage: Hemophiliacs, people on blood thinning medications, and anyone predisposed to hemorrhage should avoid FIT Bodywraps, or any type of heating that would induce vasodilatation that can lead to the tendency to bleed.
Worsened Conditions: Should any condition worsen with the use of FIT Bodywrap, we recommend that you discontinue your use of the system.
Pain: You should not experience any pain during a FIT Bodywrap. If you do, it is clearly inappropriate for you at that time.
